Dr. Sayantan Auddy

I am a Research Scientist (NPP fellow) at NASA Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL). My primary research interest is solving complex problems in Astrophysics using advanced physics and machine learning (ML). I apply mathematical and statistical models while seamlessly integrating ML and deep learning techniques such as Computer Vision, Large Language Model (LLM), and Generative AI to solve real-world problems. I modify/apply state-of-the-art algorithms like Transformers (with Attention mechanism) and Generative models (like GAN, VAE, Diffusion, and UNET to develop new applications. At NASA I have initiated a series of Machine Learning projects to aid in NASA's scientific goals of understanding natural phenomena using big data. I collaborate with researchers across the globe to advance research ideas. I work with students on various projects and mentor them in their research endeavors. Please check out my publications to learn more.

FUN PROJECT WITH GEN AI

I have developed a chatbox application utilizing Langchain with RAG and Google Gemini (LLM) to facilitate chatting with any PDF documents. The application has been deployed on the Streamlit community server. This project is functional but still under development. Please stay tuned for further updates.
